Practise where it matters
We can focus on your home berth, the local wind and current, your controls and the routines used by your regular crew. Instead of working through a generic programme, we agree priorities and spend time on the skills that will be useful after the session.
Suitable topics include leaving and returning to your berth; slow-speed and close-quarters control; single or twin-engine handling; effective thruster use; coming alongside; springing on and off; anchoring and mooring; chartplotter and navigation basics; crew communication; pre-departure checks; and practical emergency routines.
Turn useful techniques into repeatable routines
A successful manoeuvre is useful. Understanding why it worked is more useful. We explain the approach, practise it and adjust it to your boat so you can repeat it in everyday use.
Partners and regular crew can be involved in lines, fenders, communication and onboard routines. Once everyone understands their role, the whole operation becomes calmer and more coordinated.
Plan your session
Send your boat’s make and model, location, engine arrangement and the topics you would like to cover. We agree the session length, participants, travel and total price in advance. Practical exercises are adapted to the vessel and conditions.
