Get to know your boat before going it alone
During a passage, the delivery skipper gains practical familiarity with the helm, equipment, routines and behaviour of the boat. After arrival, that experience can help you understand its everyday operation and the questions worth following up.
We can work through controls and instruments, pre-departure checks, electrical and bilge systems, electronics and safety equipment. Then, where appropriate, we practise handling at your home berth with you and your regular crew.
Agree both parts of the job
The delivery and tuition each have a defined scope. We agree route, crew, readiness, costs and the intended arrival handover first. Training is arranged around the delivery schedule and suitable conditions, with changes communicated if the passage plan moves.
If you would like to join the relocation, ask about owner-assisted delivery. We will assess whether the boat, route and available accommodation suit your participation.
