DESCRIPTION:What to expect on your 90-minute Lough Ree RIB Experience (from Athlone)\nWe built this 90-minute RIB excursion to deliver two things.First\, you get proper high-speed thrills.Then\, you get time for islands and scenery.Throughout\, an expert instructor runs the trip with a safety-first approach. \n1) Welcome\, kit-up & safety briefing (first 10–15 minutes)\nFirst\, you’ll meet your instructor in Athlone.Next\, we’ll fit you with the right safety gear.Then\, we’ll run through a clear briefing.We’ll cover seating\, handholds\, and what the boat can do.After that\, we’ll set the pace for your group and conditions. \n2) Cruise out onto Lough Ree (next 10–15 minutes)\nAs we depart\, the water opens up fast.Athlone slips behind you.Soon after\, the shoreline and island clusters come into view.Meanwhile\, you’ll settle in and enjoy the ride. \n3) High-speed runs & handling (30–40 minutes\, weather permitting)\nOnce conditions suit\, we’ll open the throttle.You’ll feel smooth acceleration and that classic RIB “lift.”Then we’ll mix in controlled turns and lively stretches.However\, we always match the speed to the weather.We also adapt the ride to your comfort level. \n4) Scenic islands & local highlights (15–25 minutes)\nAfter the fast sections\, we slow things down.That gives you time for photos and views.We’ll explore bays\, islands\, and quieter corners of Lough Ree.Along the way\, your instructor will share local insights. \n5) Return run back to Athlone (final 10–15 minutes)\nFinally\, we point back toward Athlone.If conditions allow\, we’ll add one more lively run.Then we’ll finish with a smooth approach and arrival.You’ll step off grinning\, windblown\, and fully “that was class”ed.
